Welcome to Burnside cottage 1.4 miles above the village of Bonar Bridge in Sutherland.

Set in pleasant surroundings in the country for peace and tranquillity, plenty open space for children to play: and safe for bicycles. The cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleep 6 people; one of the bedrooms is downstairs and is wheelchair accessible. Sheets are supplied if requested. Duvets and covers are supplied. The bathroom and shower room are downstairs.

The sitting room is comfortable with TV and video and looks onto a large field, excellent as a driving range for golf or to practice football. There is a large kitchen, microwave, and airing cupboard. The utility room has a washing machine, fridge and small deep freeze.

The cottage is centrally heated by an oil boiler and is easy to operate. The cottage is homely, clean and tidy. Dogs are welcome if house trained. 

We are central for touring to the north and west coasts. There is fishing on various lochs as well as the Kyle of Sutherland. Permits are obtained locally. Bonar Bridge hosts a 9 hole golf course overlooking Loch Migdale and is in close proximity to numerous other golf courses including the famous Royal Dornoch golf course.

We are situated 10 - 14 miles from Skibo Castle, (Marriage place of Madonna) and Dornoch and 23 miles to Dunrobin Castle once the seat of the Duke of Sutherland, Carbisdale Castle, Shin Falls and Lairg are to the west.

Rail travel along one of the most beautiful lines in Britain. The rail service from Inverness travels north through Dingwall then continues North on the East cost through Alness and Tain.......

Road travel to Bonar Bridge is easy. You can travel North on the A9 Trunk Road from Invernessfor 17 miles. You then take the B9176 Road for a further 15 miles before joining the A836 road for the last 4 miles. Alternatively you can just follow the A9 North from Inverness for 35 Miles and then join the A836 at the Dornoch bridge and travel along this road for the last 12 miles.

Air travel can be made to Inverness Airport which has Services from Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. At the airport you will find a number of Car Hire companies.
